Home Language Survey definition

Home Language Survey. (HLS) means a survey delivered to parents or guardians within thirty (30) days of a student’s initial enrollment in public school to identify NELB Students who may be eligible for Direct or Indirect ESL Services.
Home Language Survey means a survey instrument created by RIDE used to identify English Language Learners.
Home Language Survey means a survey performed by local school officials, using a department- approved survey form, to determine those students potentially eligible to receive bilingual instruction.

Home Language Survey means one or more questions posed to all parents and students upon entering a local school system in order to determine the language or languages spoken in the home.
