HMIS definition

HMIS means the Homeless Management Information System, which is a client-level data collection and management system implemented at the community level that allows for better coordination among agencies providing services to clients.
HMIS means the regional (Orange County) 21 database of clients and services providers that track service needs and usage for homeless and those at 22 risk of becoming homeless.

More Definitions of HMIS

HMIS means the Homeless Management Information System as further defined in the McKinney-Vento Act as amended by the HEARTH Act.
HMIS means the Homeless Management Information System managed by the local continuum of care or the Balance of State homeless system managed by Department of Commerce. As mandated by the Homelessness Housing and Assistance Act (ESSHB 2163 - 2005), the Department of Commerce is responsible for operating an HMIS for counties that do not operate their own compliant system.
