HIV infection definition

HIV infection or "HIV infected" means the status of an individual who is infected with HIV, as evidenced by any of the following:
HIV infection means the pathological state produced by a human body in response to the presence of HIV.
HIV infection means infection with the human immunodeficiency virus or any other related virus identified as a probable causative agent of AIDS.
