HIPAA Regulations definition

HIPAA Regulations means the regulations promulgated under HIPAA by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Part 160 and 45 C.F.R. Part 164 subparts A and E (“The Privacy Rule”) and the Security Standards as they may be amended from time to time, 45 C.F.R. Parts 160, 162 and 164, Subpart C (“The Security Rule”).

HIPAA Regulations means the regulations promulgated under HIPAA by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, including, but not limited to, 45 C.F.R. Part 160 and 45 C.F.R. Part 164.

HIPAA Regulations means the standards for privacy of individually identifiable health information, the security standards for the protection of electronic protected health information and the breach notification rule (45 C.F.R. §§ 160 and 164) promulgated by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, as in effect on the Effective Date and as may be amended, modified, or renumbered.

• If BA maintains Protected Information in electronic format, BA shall provide such information in electronic format as necessary to enable CE to fulfill its obligations under the HITECH Act and HIPAA Regulations, including, but not limited to, 42 U.S.C. Section 17935(e) and 45 C.F.R. Section 164.524.

• Business Associate shall also reasonably cooperate and coordinate with Covered Entity in the preparation of any reports or notices to the Individual, a regulatory body or any third party required to be made under HIPAA, HIPAA Regulations, the HITECH Act, or any other federal or state laws, rules or regulations, provided that any such reports or notices shall remain the obligation of Covered Entity.

HIPAA Regulations means, collectively, the Privacy, Security, Breach Notification and Enforcement Rules at 45 CFR Parts 160 and 164.

HIPAA Regulations means the regulations promulgated under HIPAA by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, including, but not limited to, 45 Code of Federal Regulations parts 160 and 164, as are currently in effect or as later amended.

HIPAA Regulations means the Administrative Simplification requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”), and the regulations promulgated thereunder, including (i) the Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Health Information at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164 (Subparts A and E) (the “HIPAA Privacy Rule”); (ii) the Administrative Requirements applicable to Transactions at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 162 (Subparts A and I) (the “Electronic Transactions Rule”); (iii) the Security Standards for the Protection of Electronic Protected Health Information at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164 (Subparts A and C) (the “HIPAA Security Rule”); and (iv) the Standards for Notification in the Case of Breach of Unsecured Protected Health Information at 45 C.F.R. Parts 160 and 164 (Subparts A and D).

HIPAA Regulations or “Regulations”. References to “HIPAA Regulations” or “Regulations” shall mean the Privacy Rule and the Security Standards, as amended by Regulations commonly referred to as the HITECH Modifications to the HIPAA Privacy, Security Enforcement and Breach Notification Regulations.

HIPAA Regulations means the Privacy Rule and the Security Rule.
