High Definition definition

High Definition means Linear Broadcast of Television Channel in any resolution that is 1080 vertical lines of resolution or less (but at least 720 vertical lines of resolution) and 1920 lines of horizontal resolution or less (but at least 1280 lines of horizontal resolution).
High Definition or “HD” means any resolution that is (a) 1080 vertical lines of resolution or less (but at least 720 vertical lines of resolution) and (b) 1920 lines of horizontal resolution or less (but at least 1280 lines of horizontal resolution).

More Definitions of High Definition

High Definition means any resolution that is 720p or higher, but in no event higher than 1080p.
High Definition means resolutions higher than 345,600 viewable pixels, in the case of NTSC, or 414,720 viewable pixels, in the case of PAL, but no greater than 2,073,600 viewable pixels, in the case of either NTSC or PAL.
