Healthcare Organization definition

Healthcare Organization means any facility providing health care services.
Healthcare Organization or “HCO” means any entity that may, directly or indirectly, purchase, prescribe, recommend, refer or arrange for the prescribing, purchasing or formulary placement of a health-related product or service in the Territory including, but not limited to, hospitals, pharmacies (including specialty pharmacies), physician groups, nursing homes, group purchasing organizations, insurers, and health plans.
Healthcare Organization means an organization that performs any professional activities in the healthcare area, including without limitation: (i) medical institutions; (ii) medical associations, physician societies, and hospital associations;

  • I acknowledge that I have been informed of, and hereby agree to abide by, the bylaws, rules, regulations, contractual agreements, and policies of the Healthcare Organization.

  • As used in the Information Release/Acknowledgments Section of this application, the term "this Healthcare Organization" shall refer to the entity to which this application is submitted as identified above.


More Definitions of Healthcare Organization

Healthcare Organization. (HCO) means an entity that provides healthcare, which is not an individual Healthcare Professional, but may be a group of Healthcare Professionals. Examples are hospitals, clinics, medical schools or universities, group practices, laboratories, including medical society who is independent association of medical or scientific professionals organized to promote medical or scientific knowledge and advances.
Healthcare Organization means hospitals, clinics, medical practices, universities, pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, distributors, professional organizations, and medical societies. “Healthcare Professional” means any person that interacts with patients, and has a role in the diagnosis, referral, or treatment of the patient, or is licensed and permitted by Applicable Law, qualified by education, training, licensure/regulation (when applicable) and facility privileging (when applicable), to prescribe drugs for medical use or conduct an ISR Procedure. This includes, but is not limited to physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists that are actively practicing.
Healthcare Organization means healthcare organizations, in accordance with the law on healthcare organization, which provide in-patient services. It shall also include healthcare organizations established by state agencies.
Healthcare Organization means the undisclosed Florida-based multi-specialty primary care/health and wellness medical organization being acquired by CannCure as described in this Listing Statement.
Healthcare Organization means any legal person or body (regardless of legal form or organization), association or scientific, medical or health-related organization via which one or more Healthcare Professionals provide services, or that is able to exercise direct or indirect influence over any prescription, recommendation, purchase, supply order, use, sale or rental of medical technologies and related services (e.g. hospitals, centralized purchasing offices, clinics, laboratories, pharmacies, research institutes, associations, foundations, universities, scientific companies or other educational or professional institutions. Related to Healthcare Organization

  • Managed care organization means an entity that (1) is under contract with the department to provide services to Medicaid recipients and (2) meets the definition of “health maintenance organization” as defined in Iowa Code section 514B.1.
