Health or Social Care Services definition

Health or Social Care Services means services relating to health or social care within the meaning given by section 9 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008;
Health or Social Care Services means a care service within the definition provided in regulation 5 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
Health or Social Care Services means any of the services listed in the Schedule to the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

  • Subject to the modifications contained in Annex 2 below and in accordance with the principles set down in the Statutory Guidance issued by Scottish Ministers in terms of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014 as well as the Best Practice Guidance on the Procurement of Care and Support Services 2016 issued in terms of the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act, these Contract Standing Orders shall apply to contracts for Health or Social Care Services subject to the special procedures set out in Annex 2.

  • Risk assessment of legal challenge should be conducted should you decide not to advertise a Health or Social Care Services requirement and proceed to award the contract or framework agreement without competition.

  • This standing order does not apply where an exemption under contract standing order 9 applies; or use can be made of the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication of a Notice under contract standing order 14 ; or the contract is for Social and Other Specific Services or for Health or Social Care Services and one to which Schedule 5 applies.

  • B.1 Where a contract is for Health or Social Care Services and the estimated value of the contract is less than the threshold for Social and Other Specific Services, instead of using the procedures set out in the foregoing standing orders, the HOPAC may elect to follow the procedures set out in the Procurement Reform Rules.

  • Where the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016 (the “slice” regulations) apply: Requirements (other than for Health or Social Care Services - see Part 3) with an estimated value in excess of £50,000 but less than £164,176 (Supplies and Services) or excess of £2,000,000 (Works) shall be subject to competitive tendering and advertised via the Public Contracts Scotland web portal: www.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk and in the media together with Council’s website as appropriate.

  • These Contract Standing Orders shall apply to contracts for Health or Social Care Services subject to the special procedures set out in Annex 1.

  • For the purposes of this section of the Procurement Regulations, Contracts for Health or Social Care Services shall mean contracts for the provision of services under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968; the Children (Scotland) Act 1995; or the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003; or any other function of the Council covered by the definition of a care service in the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, including housing support services and any other relevant legislation.

PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER (PCP) means, for the purpose of this plan, professional providers that are family practitioners, internists, and pediatricians. For the purpose of this plan, gynecologists, obstetricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants may be credentialed as PCPs.   • Home care services means skilled or personal care

  • Health care system means any public or private entity whose function or purpose is the management of, processing of, enrollment of individuals for or payment for, in full or in part, health care services or health care data or health care information for its participants;
