Hazardous Activity definition

Hazardous Activity means the distribution, generation, handling, importing, management, manufacturing, processing, production, refinement, Release, storage, transfer, transportation, treatment or use (including any withdrawal or other use of groundwater) of Hazardous Material in, on, under, about or from any of the Facilities or any part thereof into the Environment and any other act, business, operation or thing that increases the danger, or risk of danger, or poses an unreasonable risk of harm, to persons or property on or off the Facilities.

Hazardous Activity means the distribution, generation, handling, importing, management, manufacturing, processing, production, refinement, Release, storage, transfer, transportation, treatment, or use (including any withdrawal or other use of groundwater) of Hazardous Materials in, on, under, about, or from the Facilities or any part thereof into the Environment, and any other act, business, operation, or thing that increases the danger, or risk of danger, or poses an unreasonable risk of harm to persons or property on or off the Facilities, or that may affect the value of the Facilities or the Company.

Hazardous Activity means any activity, process, procedure or undertaking which directly or indirectly (i) procures, generates or creates any Hazardous Substance; (ii) causes or results in (or threatens to cause or result in) the release, seepage, spill, leak, flow, discharge or emission of any Hazardous Substance into the environment (including the air, ground water, watercourses or water systems), (iii) involves the containment or storage of any Hazardous Substance; or (iv) would cause any of the Leased Premises or any portion thereof to become a hazardous waste treatment, recycling, reclamation, processing, storage or disposal facility within the meaning of any Environmental Law.

Examples of Hazardous Activity in a sentence

• For purposes of the provision, the term "Hazardous Activity" includes the following: (a) the removal, storage, and/or transportation of any "hazardous material", as such term is defined under federal, state, or local law, ordinance, regulation, or guideline, (b) the removal, storage, or transportation of lead- based paint, (c) blasting, (d) any activity which by its nature is abnormally dangerous, and (d) any "ultrahazardous activity" as defined in California case law.

• In the event that Subrecipient, Developer, and/or any of its Contractors will be engaging in any Hazardous Activity as part of the Collective Work contemplated by this Agreement, then the party(ies) engaging in any Hazard Activity(ies) shall provide to the Department, prior to commencement of any such activity(ies), such insurance coverages in such forms and in such amounts as the Department may require in its sole discretion.

• Risk at Hazardous Activity All workers employed on mixing material, cement, lime mortars, concrete etc., will be provided with protective footwear and protective goggles.

• Leisure boat harbours are obligated to provide reception facilities for waste, and they also have to have a waste management plan.The Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management (“Havs -och vattenmyndigheten”, HAV) is responsible for national rules and regulation concerning decentralised household sewage systems according to the Environmental Code (miljöbalken1998:808), chapter 9, Environmentally Hazardous Activity and Protection of Health.

Hazardous Activity means any activity, process, procedure or undertaking that directly or indirectly (i) produces, generates or creates any Hazardous Substance; (ii) causes or results in (or threatens to cause or result in) the Release of any Hazardous Substance into the environment (including air, water vapor, surface water, groundwater, drinking water, land (including surface or subsurface), plant, aquatic and animal life); (iii) involves the containment or storage of any Hazardous Substance; or (iv) would be regulated as hazardous waste treatment, storage or disposal within the meaning of any Environmental Law.

Hazardous Activity means, with respect to any Person (including any Party or the Company or their Related Persons), the distribution, generation, handling, importing, management, manufacturing, processing, production, refinement, Release, storage, transfer, transportation, treatment or use (including any withdrawal or other use of groundwater) of Hazardous Material in, on, under, about or from any Property or other facility or real property owned, leased, operated or otherwise used by such Person or any of its contractors in connection with the conduct of the business of such Person, or from any other asset of such Person, into the Environment and any other act, business, operation or thing that increases the danger, or risk of danger, or poses an unreasonable risk of harm, to persons or property, whether on or off the aforementioned Properties, facilities or other real property, beyond what is authorized by any Environmental Law relating to the business of such Person.

Hazardous Activity means the distribution, generation, handling, importing, management, manufacturing, processing, production, extraction, refinement, Release, storage, transfer, transportation, treatment or use (including any withdrawal or other use of groundwater) of Hazardous Materials in, on, under, about or from the Real Property or any part thereof into the Environment, and any other act, business, operation or thing that increases the danger, or risk of danger, or poses an unreasonable risk of harm to persons or property on or off the Real Property, or that may adversely affect the value of the Real Property.

Hazardous Activity means any activity in which one or more hazardous substances are present or may be present in quantities at or in excess of the threshold quantities listed in annex I and which is capable of causing transboundary effects on transboundary waters and their water uses in the event of an industrial accident;
