Examples of Gross Misconduct in a sentence
If an employee is accused of any Gross Misconduct he or she may be suspended from work on full pay pending the outcome of an investigation into the alleged offence(s).
The following list provides examples of conduct that will normally be regarded by the council as Gross Misconduct.
For an Employee found to have been bullying/harassing others this will follow the council’s Disciplinary procedure under the ACAS Code of Practice and would normally be treated as Gross Misconduct.
Failure to return the Remittance Advice slip will be investigated and could be considered Gross Misconduct under the Disciplinary Policy and Procedure.
Bullying and harassment by any employed persons can be considered examples of serious misconduct which will be dealt with through the Disciplinary Procedure at Gross Misconduct level and may result in summary dismissal from the council.
