The Party making the grievance may make a written grievance at Step 2 within sixty (60) days of the date the cause for the grievance became known, or ought reasonably to have been known, to the Director of Education or designate or President of the Local, as the case may be, who shall answer the grievance in writing by email within ten (10) days. At the request of either Party, the Director or designate shall convene a meeting of up to three (3) members of the Employer's Executive Council and/or Human Resources Services department and up to three (3) members appointed by the Local to discuss the grievance within ten (10) days of receipt of the grievance. The Director or designate or the President of the Local, as the case may be, shall answer the grievance in writing by email within ten (10) days of the meeting. The grievance shall specify the essential nature of the matter at issue, the provision(s) of the Collective Agreement which is (are) alleged to have been violated and the remedy requested, and the grievance shall be signed by the duly authorized representative of the Local or the Director or designate, as the case may be.
