Grade 8 definition

Grade 8 means an employee who possesses the skills and qualifications required for Grade 7 and whose work requires the competent and diligent exercise of the skills of that calling and to efficiently lead other employees (Grades 1 to 7 inclusive) in achieving the goals of a Section.
Grade 8 means to qualify at Grade 8 a trade employee will have been credited with at least five hundred (500) hours, of which three hundred and seventy five (375) must be Core Hours from the applicable Career Path Model, all of which must be in Core Skills.

  • The score the student receives on the Regents examination in science when taken in Grade 8 must be reported in the year in which the student took the examination and will count in the accountability calculations for the district and school responsible for the student.

  • Administer the Grade 8 Intermediate-Level Science Test when the student is in Grade 7 and administer a Regents examination in science when the student is in Grade 8.

  • The score the student receives on the Grade 8 Intermediate-Level Science Test when taken in Grade 7 must also be reported in the year in which the student took the examination but will not count in the accountability calculations for the district and school responsible for the student.

  • Students who take the Grade 8 Intermediate-Level Science Test when they are in Grade 7 may not retake the test when they advance to Grade 8.

  • 2 Wire Analog Voice Grade Loop or “Analog 2W” provides an effective 2-wire channel with 2-wire interfaces at each end that is suitable for the transport of analog Voice Grade (nominal 300 to 3000 Hz) signals and loop-start signaling. This Loop type is more fully described in Verizon Technical Reference (TR)-72565, as revised from time-to-time. If “Customer-Specified Signaling” is requested, the Loop will operate with one of the following signaling types that may be specified when the Loop is ordered: loop-start, ground-start, loop- reverse-battery, and no signaling. Customer specified signaling is more fully described in Verizon TR-72570, as revised from time-to- time. Verizon will not build new facilities.

  • Grade point average or "GPA" means the grade point average earned by an eligible student and reported by the high school or participating institution in which the student was enrolled based on a scale of 4.0 or its equivalent if the high school or participating institution that the student attends does not use the 4.0 grade scale;

  • Finished grade means the grade upon completion of the fill or excavation.

  • Downgrade Event means, unless otherwise specified on the Cover Sheet, for a Party means that Party’s Credit Rating falls below BBB- from S&P or Baa3 from Moody’s or becomes no longer rated by either S&P or Moody’s.

  • Lowest Adjacent Grade (LAG means the elevation of the ground, sidewalk or patio slab immediately next to the building, or deck support, after completion of the building.

  • Investment Grade Status shall occur when the Notes receive two of the following:

  • Below Investment Grade Ratings Event means that on any day within the 60-day period (which period shall be extended so long as the rating of the Securities is under publicly announced consideration for a possible downgrade by any of the Rating Agencies) after the earlier of (1) the occurrence of a Change of Control; or (2) public notice of the occurrence of a Change of Control or the intention by the Company to effect a Change of Control, the Securities are rated below Investment Grade by each of the Rating Agencies. Notwithstanding the foregoing, a Below Investment Grade Ratings Event otherwise arising by virtue of a particular reduction in rating shall not be deemed to have occurred in respect of a particular Change of Control (and thus shall not be deemed a Below Investment Grade Ratings Event for purposes of the definition of Change of Control Repurchase Event hereunder) if the Rating Agencies making the reduction in rating to which this definition would otherwise apply do not announce or publicly confirm or inform the Trustee in writing at its request that the reduction was the result, in whole or in part, of any event or circumstance comprised of or arising as a result of, or in respect of, the applicable Change of Control (whether or not the applicable Change of Control shall have occurred at the time of the ratings event).

  • Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) means the maximum weight of the vehicle, as specified by the manufacturer. GVWR includes total vehicle weight plus fluids, passengers, and cargo.

  • Downgrade Advance means an Advance made pursuant to Section 2.02(c).

  • Gross vehicle weight rating means the weight specified by the manufacturer as the loaded weight of a single vehicle.

  • Investment Grade Ratings means a rating equal to or higher than Baa3 (or the equivalent) by Moody’s and BBB- (or the equivalent) by S&P, provided that no negative watch is placed on such rating.

  • Unapplied Downgrade Advance means any Downgrade Advance other than an Applied Downgrade Advance.

  • DNS test Means one non-­‐recursive DNS query sent to a particular “IP address” (via UDP or TCP). If DNSSEC is offered in the queried DNS zone, for a query to be considered answered, the signatures must be positively verified against a corresponding DS record published in the parent zone or, if the parent is not signed, against a statically configured Trust Anchor. The answer to the query must contain the corresponding information from the Registry System, otherwise the query will be considered unanswered. A query with a “DNS resolution RTT” 5 times higher than the corresponding SLR, will be considered unanswered. The possible results to a DNS test are: a number in milliseconds corresponding to the “DNS resolution RTT” or, undefined/unanswered.

  • Highest Adjacent Grade (HAG means the highest natural elevation of the ground surface, prior to construction, immediately next to the proposed walls of the structure.

  • Investment Grade Rating means a rating equal to or higher than Baa3 (or the equivalent) by Xxxxx’x and BBB- (or the equivalent) by S&P, or an equivalent rating by any other Rating Agency.

  • Below Investment Grade Rating Event means the rating on the Notes is lowered in respect of a Change of Control and the Notes are rated below Investment Grade by both Rating Agencies on any date from the date of the public notice of an arrangement that could result in a Change of Control until the end of the 60-day period following public notice of the occurrence of a Change of Control (which period shall be extended until the ratings are announced if during such 60 day period the rating of the Notes is under publicly announced consideration for possible downgrade by either of the Rating Agencies); provided that a Below Investment Grade Rating Event otherwise arising by virtue of a particular reduction in rating shall not be deemed to have occurred in respect of a particular Change of Control (and thus shall not be deemed a Below Investment Grade Rating Event for purposes of the definition of Change of Control Repurchase Event hereunder) if the Rating Agencies making the reduction in rating to which this definition would otherwise apply do not announce or publicly confirm or inform the Company in writing at its request that the reduction was the result, in whole or in part, of any event or circumstance comprised of or arising as a result of, or in respect of, the applicable Change of Control (whether or not the applicable Change of Control shall have occurred at the time of the Below Investment Grade Rating Event).

  • Operating Month for a Shipper or Transferor means any calendar month in which Carrier either transports Crude Petroleum or recognizes and records a change in ownership of Crude Petroleum for the account of such Party. For purposes hereof the calendar month shall be deemed to begin at 7:00 a.m. (Central Time) on the first day of such month.

  • RDDS test Means one query sent to a particular “IP address” of one of the servers of one of the RDDS services. Queries shall be about existing objects in the Registry System and the responses must contain the corresponding information otherwise the query will be considered unanswered. Queries with an RTT 5 times higher than the corresponding SLR will be considered as unanswered. The possible results to an RDDS test are: a number in milliseconds corresponding to the RTT or undefined/unanswered.

  • Minimum Weighted Average Spread Test means a test that will be satisfied on any day if the Weighted Average Spread of all Eligible Collateral Obligations included in the Collateral on such day is equal to or greater than 5.5%

  • Applied Downgrade Advance has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 2.06(a).

  • Overcollateralization Floor With respect to any Distribution Date, 0.50% of the aggregate Stated Principal Balance of the Mortgage Loans as of the Cut-off Date.

  • Portfolio Yield means, with respect to any Monthly Period, the annualized percentage equivalent of a fraction, the numerator of which is (a) the amount of Available Funds allocated to the MBNAseries pursuant to Section 501 of the Indenture, plus (b) any Interest Funding sub-Account Earnings on the related Transfer Date, plus (c) any amounts to be treated as MBNAseries Available Funds pursuant to Sections 3.20(d) and 3.27(a) of the Indenture Supplement, plus (d) the MBNAseries Servicer Interchange for such Monthly Period, minus (e) the excess, if any, of the sum of the PFA Prefunding Earnings Shortfall plus the PFA Accumulation Earnings Shortfall over the sum of the aggregate amount to be treated as MBNAseries Available Funds for such Monthly Period pursuant to Sections 3.04(a)(ii) and 3.25(a) of the Indenture Supplement plus any other amounts applied to cover earnings shortfalls on amounts in the Principal Funding sub-Account for any tranche of MBNAseries Notes for such Monthly Period, minus (f) the MBNAseries Investor Default Amount for such Monthly Period, and the denominator of which is the Weighted Average Available Funds Allocation Amount for the MBNAseries for such Monthly Period.

  • MARPOL 73/78 means the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, 1973, as amended by the Protocol of 1978 relating thereto and by any other amendment in force thereafter;

  • P.01 Transmission Grade of Service (“GOS”) means a trunk facility provisioning standard with the statistical probability of no more than one call in 100 blocked on initial attempt during the average busy hour.

  • Investment Grade Rating Event means the first day on which the Notes have an Investment Grade Rating from a Rating Agency and no Default has occurred and is then continuing under this Indenture.
