The annual municipal license fee, found in Appendix B of this Code, is payable to the Village of Algonquin for each Video Gaming Terminal placed within the Village of Algonquin.
This fee is paid be shared by the Video Gaming Terminal Operator and the Establishment housing the Video Gaming Terminal, each paying 50% of the per terminal license fee (i.e., $250 paid by the Establishment and $250 paid by the Video Gaming Operator).
Electronic Game” means a lottery scheme played on a Gaming Terminal in which, upon payment of lawful currency, a person by chance may receive credit(s) that can be redeemed for further play or money.

Any Video Gaming Terminal utilized in a licensed premises shall be installed in a fixed location described in the license application, acceptable to the Liquor Commissioner, from which the Video Gaming Terminal is visible to staff of the licensed premises at all times.
Play shall not include the push of individual wager amounts, selection of types of games on the Video Gaming Terminal or entry of any information or printing of winning receipts.
Video Gaming Terminal: Any electronic video game machine that, upon insertion of cash, electronic cards or vouchers, or any combination thereof, is available to play or simulate the play of a video game, including but not limited to video poker, line up, and blackjack, as authorized by the Illinois Gaming Board utilizing a video display and microprocessors in which the player may receive free games or credits that can be redeemed for cash.
The rate of the tax shall be equal to $0.01 (one cent) per Play on a Video Gaming Terminal.
