Flextime definition

Flextime is the terminology given to those periods of time that an employee may absent themselves from work with the approval of their manager under this Agreement during which no time is credited towards the employee’s Accrued Work Time.
Flextime is a formal arrangement whereby employees can vary their start and finish times to accommodate variations in workload and personal circumstances.
Flextime is a system of working hours which allows employees to choose their starting time for their 8 hour workday, subject to certain limitations, on a day-to-day basis.

Flextime for the purposes of this Agreement is a system of attendance whereby an individual staff member may select their starting and finishing time on each normal working day, subject to the concurrence of the Department, and in accordance with conditions set out in this Agreement.
