Flexible work arrangement definition

Flexible work arrangement. (FWA) means a workday in which the employee may vary the time of arrival and/or departure. A flexible work schedule includes core time and two flexible bands. "Flexible time and flexible bands" mean the specific periods of the workday during which employees may opt to vary their arrival and departure times.
Flexible work arrangement means an agreement between management and an employee to adjust the employee's hours and/or location of work, on a re- occurring or on-going basis.

Flexible work arrangement. Details A: Duration of Agreement Prior to the end date of this agreement, you may request a review for a possible extension or renewal. Your request and justification must be documented and submitted to your manager/supervisor in advance of the end date. This agreement must be reviewed and updated every six months, unless a shorter review period is determined by your supervisor. After each evaluation, your manager/supervisor, in consultation with Human Resources, will determine whether the arrangement should (1) continue, (2) be modified or (3) end. Any modifications to the original agreement will require a new agreement. Flexible work arrangement or “FWA” means an approved schedule adjustment, a remote work arrangement, or a combination of the two that is recurring. A FWA is not paid or unpaid leave. It cannot be used to reduce or increase a non-exempt employee’s scheduled working hours or to eliminate or increase the essential duties of a position. A FWA is different from a minor, temporary adjustment a supervisor can make in response to emergencies or non-recurring incidents, which authority is discussed more fully below in Section IV. E.
