Flexible Capacity definition

Flexible Capacity means any and all flexible Resource Adequacy attributes associated with the PDR(s) designated by Seller pursuant to Section 1.4, as such attributes may be identified from time to time by the CPUC, CAISO, or other Governmental Body having jurisdiction, that can be counted toward Flexible RAR, and which may be (i) exclusive of Local Capacity and (ii) be in Flexible Category 1 (base flexibility), 2 (peak flexibility) or 3 (super-peak flexibility) as described in the CAISO Tariff.
Flexible Capacity means, with respect to any particular Showing Month, the number of MWs of Product which are eligible to satisfy Flexible RAR.
Flexible Capacity means, with respect to any particular Showing Month of the Delivery Period, the MWs of Product which are eligible to satisfy a load-serving entity’s Flexible RAR.

Examples of Flexible Capacity in a sentence

  • The Effective Flexible Capacity shall not exceed the difference between the PMin and PMax of the resource.

  • For each day the substitute resource is committed to provide Flexible RA Capacity and/or RA Substitute Capacity in more than one Flexible Capacity Category, the RAAIM Availability Assessment applies the must-offer obligation for the highest quality Flexible Capacity Category to the total MWs of the flexible capacity requirement.

  • The Effective Flexible Capacity shall not exceed the Net Qualifying Capacity of the resource.

  • If the Start-Up Time of the resource is greater than 90 minutes, the Effective Flexible Capacity value shall be the weighted average ramp rate of the resource calculated from PMin to Net Qualifying Capacity multiplied by 180 minutes.

  • If the MW amount of the simultaneous or overlapping designation is sufficient to resolve both underlying reliability needs, no further designation of CPM Capacity or CPM Flexible Capacity will be issued.

Flexible Capacity or “Load-Following Capacity” means non-peaking generating capability that, among other things, can be cycled (started and shut down) on short notice, be operated over a wide range of operating points, and respond promptly to changes, up or down, in demand (subject to unit minimums and maximums) at the direction of a dispatcher or operator. The flexibility and benefits of Flexible Capacity attributed to a resource can be no greater than the physical and contractual capabilities of the resource’s fuel supply.
Flexible Capacity means, with respect to any particular Showing Month of the Delivery Period, the number of MWs of Product set forth in the table in Section 1.5 which Seller has agreed to provide to Buyer from the Unit as part of the Contract Quantity for each day of such Showing Month, and which such MWs of Product are eligible to satisfy a load serving entity’s Flexible RAR and which such MWs of Product are associated with MWs of the Unit that are part of the Unit EFC.
