FIRST SHIFT definition

FIRST SHIFT. The regular hours of work on the first shift of three shift operations shall be eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for lunch period at midshift, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
FIRST SHIFT. Any regular shift that begins at or after 4:00 a.m. and before 12:00 noon.

FIRST SHIFT all hours worked on any shift, which starts between 4:30 a.m. and 11:59 a.m.
FIRST SHIFT. All work shifts which begin between 8:00 p.m. and 3:59 a.m. For divisional personnel operating on shift schedules, those employees completing their scheduled shift and authorized to continue working into the next consecutively scheduled shift, shall be paid the shift differential for those hours worked in that additional consecutive shift.
