When the A/E finds the Work acceptable under the Contract Documents and the Contract fully performed, he will issue within seven (7) days a final Certificate for Payment and a Final Certificate of Completion.

Sixty (60) days after the issue by the Project Manager/Officer of the Final Certificate of Completion there shall become due and payable to the Contractor the amount described in sub-section 1 of this section less the aggregate of the amounts, if any, paid pursuant to sub-section 3 of this section.

Should the Contractor receive notice from the Architect/Engineer requiring the correction, at the Contractor’s expense, of any defect or vice, regardless the cause, the Contractor will complete the necessary corrections on or before the deadline specified in said notice, in the event that the defect or vice becomes evident not later than twelve (12) months following the date of the Final Certificate of Completion.

The records maintained by the Contractor pursuant to GC50.1.1 shall be kept intact by the Contractor until the expiration of two years after the date that a Final Certificate of Completion referred to in GC43.1 was issued or until the expiration of such other period of time as the Owner may direct.
It is a condition precedent to the Owner's obligation under TP4.8 that the Contractor has made and delivered a statutory declaration to the Owner as described in TP4.7 in respect of a Final Certificate of Completion referred to in GC43.1. TP5.
