We will continue to meet each KIPPsters’ needs through regular meal distribution, additional supports, accommodations and interventions for learning loss & remediation, English Language Development, Special Education, Socio-Emotional Learning, Family Training & Resources and Technology access & guidance.
Waiver services include: Community Living Supports (CLS), Enhanced Medical Equipment & Supplies, Enhanced Pharmacy, Environmental Modifications, Family Training, Goods & Services, Out-of-Home Nonvocational Habilitation, Personal Emergency Response System, Prevocational Services, Private Duty Nursing, Respite Care, Supported Employment, and Supports Coordination.
DC notes that a number of these services are available in a person’s private home, which is a non-disability specific setting: In Home Supports, Companion, Personal Care Services, Behavior Supports, Skilled Nursing, Wellness, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Environmental Accessibility Adaptations, Vehicle Modification, Personal Emergency Response Services, Respite and Family Training.
Approved Nursing Agency The OA approved nursing agencies listed in Appendix C as Provider Types for waiver services, Respite, Nurse Training and Family Training, are the same as those approved to provide in home shift nursing to eligible participants in the waiver.
Participants and/or their chosen representatives may avail themselves of the assistance offered them within the Family Training and Preparation Service should they request and/or be assessed as requiring additional support and assistance in carrying out these responsibilities.
