Fails to qualify definition

Fails to qualify means not satisfying the constitutional or statutory qualifications for office, whether by reason of age, citizenship, residency, or sufficient number of valid nomination petition signatures required by section 1-12-117 (3).

Examples of Fails to qualify in a sentence

  • Fails to qualify by the first meeting of the City Council in a calendar year as defined in Article IV Section 5; or, on or before the first meeting following the canvassing of the vote for a special election.

  • Fails to qualify in the MOS enlisted for that carried the ACF as an enlistment education incentive option.
