Inasmuch as FTNTT Faculty members are employed annually and on a year-by-year basis primarily to provide instructional services as defined in the University's workload/teaching load policy as referenced in Article IX (Faculty Workload) and/or other services to the University, they have no required committee or other service obligations beyond those directly related to their responsibilities as specified in their letters of appointment or workload statements.
SOCs in Faculty Workload: No faculty member shall be required to teach an SOC as part of their load, unless it becomes necessary for a full-time or part-time priority-hiring list faculty to fill their workload.
Faculty Workload Committee Shall consist of two Continuous Members, the Chief Human Resources Officer, one other Administrator, and may include one additional person who is neither an Administrator nor a Member and who is selected by unanimous agreement of the other four.
The Federation will also be provided with the semester summary of working hours ( Faculty Workload Report, SWRXI12, or its successor.
All workload guidelines shall be consistent with this Agreement and YSU Board of Trustees Faculty Workload Policy.
The approved TMCC Faculty Workload Policy (See Appendix A) shall be considered part of this contract.

Faculty Workload Planning Process The annual workload planning process will normally proceed using the steps described below.
CSN Administration shall support NFA leadership and other enrolled members appointed to NFA committees and other service roles to utilize the five (5) hours per week on average for professional development or college/service, as outlined in the Faculty Workload Policy, for the purposes of conducting NFA business including, but not limited to, contract development and administration, and participation in the governance of NFA and AAUP.
This approach is consistent with the list of commitments for the four-year institutions as stated in the HECB’s Institutional Productivity Initiatives: Faculty Workload Study, 1994.
