Faculty Workload definition

Faculty Workload refers to all Faculty activities that contribute to the accomplishment of Department- and College-related activities and responsibilities. These include teaching and instruction, service to the College or Department, and creative practice, research, and scholarship.

Examples of Faculty Workload in a sentence

  • Inasmuch as FTNTT Faculty members are employed annually and on a year-by-year basis primarily to provide instructional services as defined in the University's workload/teaching load policy as referenced in Article IX (Faculty Workload) and/or other services to the University, they have no required committee or other service obligations beyond those directly related to their responsibilities as specified in their letters of appointment or workload statements.

  • SOCs in Faculty Workload: No faculty member shall be required to teach an SOC as part of their load, unless it becomes necessary for a full-time or part-time priority-hiring list faculty to fill their workload.

  • Faculty Workload Planning Process The annual workload planning process will normally proceed using the steps described below.

  • CSN Administration shall support NFA leadership and other enrolled members appointed to NFA committees and other service roles to utilize the five (5) hours per week on average for professional development or college/service, as outlined in the Faculty Workload Policy, for the purposes of conducting NFA business including, but not limited to, contract development and administration, and participation in the governance of NFA and AAUP.

  • This approach is consistent with the list of commitments for the four-year institutions as stated in the HECB’s Institutional Productivity Initiatives: Faculty Workload Study, 1994.

Related to Faculty Workload

  • Workload means a special education teacher’s total number of minutes required for all due process responsibilities, including direct and indirect services, evaluation and reevaluation time, management of individualized education programs (IEPs), travel time, parental contact, and other services required in the IEPs.

  • Development Work means the conduct of preclinical and clinical trials, the compilation of the regulatory dossier concerning Licensed Products and the conduct of other work necessary or useful for obtaining Regulatory Approval of Licensed Products.

  • Development Works means the external development works and internal development works on immovable property;

  • Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.

  • Contract Work means everything required to be furnished and done by the Contractor by any one or more of the parts of the Contract referred to in Article 1, except Extra Work as hereinafter defined.

  • job work means any treatment or process undertaken by a person on goods belonging to another registered person and the expression “job worker” shall be construed accordingly;

  • WorkSafeBC means the Workers Compensation Board, a provincial Crown corporation created pursuant to the Workers Compensation Act (British Columbia);

  • Project Work means the work required to complete the Project.

  • Contractor means the individual or entity, that has entered into this contract with the Commonwealth.

  • The Work means each and every activity required for the successful performance of the services described in Section II, the Terms of Reference.

  • New Work means any Services/Deliverables outside the scope of the Contract and not specifically provided under any Statement of Work, that once added will result in the need to provide the Contractor with additional consideration.

  • Hot Work means work involving electric or gas welding, cutting, brazing, or similar flame or spark-producing operations.

  • Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Work/ works means work / works to be executed in accordance with the contract.

  • piece-work means any work the pay for which is estimated by the amount of work performed irrespective of the time occupied in its performance;

  • Work Site means the site where the Work is being performed.

  • Scope of Work means the description of Services and Deliverables specified in the Contract and as may be amended.

  • Contractor Project Manager means the employee identified in a Statement of Work as the Contractor project manager.

  • Supplier/Contractor means the individual, firm or company with whom the contract has been concluded for supplying the Goods and Services under the Contract. The Supplier/Contractor shall be deemed to include its successors (approved by the purchaser), representatives, heirs, executors, administrators and permitted;

  • Development Site means any parcel or lot on which exists or which is intended for building development other than the following:

  • The Works/Project means the works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • The Services means those services ancillary to the supply of the Goods, such as transportation and insurance, and any other incidental services, such as installation, commissioning, provision of technical assistance, training, and other such obligations of the Supplier covered under the Contract.

  • Contractor Software means software which is proprietary to the Contractor, including software which is or will be used by the Contractor for the purposes of providing the Services.

  • Research Plan shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.1.

  • Tenant Improvement Work means the construction of the Tenant Improvements, together with any related work (including demolition) that is necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements.

  • Time Worked means time during which an employee is performing labor or services for the benefit of an employer, including all time s/he is suffered or permitted to work, whether or not required to do so.
