Facility Staff definition

Facility Staff means LTC facility employees, LTC vendors, and volunteers who provide services to residents on behalf of the facility. In addition, this definition also includes students in the LTC facility’s nurse aide training programs or students from an affiliated academic institution.
Facility Staff means the administrator and direct care staff employed by the facility who provide direct supervision and special services to consumers residing in the facility, and consultants employed by the facility who provide support to direct care staff.
Facility Staff in a Nursing Home, as defined in CMS Interim Final Rule QSO-20-38- NH issued August 26, 2020, includes employees, consultants, contractors, volunteers, and caregivers who provide care and services to residents on behalf of the Nursing Home, and students in the Nursing Home’s nurse aide training programs or from affiliated academic institutions. Facility Staff specifically excludes residents of and visitors to the Nursing Home.
