External Adviser definition

External Adviser means a suitably skilled and/or experienced person who is appointed by the Governing Board to support the Governing Board to appraise the Headteacher in accordance with this Capability Policy and Procedure. The External Adviser must be familiar with the particular needs of a Catholic voluntary academy e.g. the development of the Academy’s ethos.

Examples of External Adviser in a sentence

  • The HPMC, with advice from the External Adviser, will review levels of pupil attainment, rates of pupil progress and whole school performance in their assessment of a Headteacher’s performance in addition to other objectives that may have been set.

  • Appointment of External Adviser The Headteacher will be appraised by the Governing Board, who must be supported by a suitably skilled and experienced external adviser who has been appointed by the Governing Board for that purpose.

  • Note: Particular attention will be paid to nominees who have been involved in the development of the programme or its component parts (e.g. as an external consultant), or who have acted as an External Adviser as part of the University programme approval process.
