Existing use definition

Existing use means a use actually attained in a surface water of the state on or after November 28, 1975, whether or not it is a designated use.
Existing use means those uses actually attained in the water body on or after November 28, 1975, whether or not they are included in the water quality standards.
Existing use means use of a building or a structure existing authorized before the commencement of these Regulations.

More Definitions of Existing use

Existing use means in relation to any building or land the use of that building or land for any purpose of the same character as that for which it was used before the date this Act becomes applicable to the area in which the building or land is situated:
Existing use means use of land, buildings or activity permitted or in existence prior to the adoption of a zoning map or ordinances by the county or municipality. If the use is nonconforming to local ordinance and lawfully existed prior to the adoption of the ordinance, the use may continue to exist as a nonconforming use until abandoned for a period of one year: Provided, That in the case of natural resources, the absence of natural resources extraction or harvesting is not abandonment of the use.
Existing use means the actual use of land owned by the Company as at the effective date;
