European Union Directive means any law, regulation, directive or any interpretation by the European Union or a member nation of the European Union which requires the withholding or deduction of any amounts payable under the Notes or the Funding Agreement.

  • Major European Countries means France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

  • Parliament means Parliament of the Republic of South Africa as set out in Chapter Four of the Constitution.

  • Acquired Rights Directive means the European Council Directive 77/187/EEC on the approximation of laws of European member states relating to the safeguarding of employees’ rights in the event of transfers of undertakings, businesses or parts of undertakings or businesses, as amended or re-enacted from time to time;

  • UK Data Protection Legislation means all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK including the UK GDPR; the Data Protection Act 2018; the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC (as updated by Directive 2009/136/EC) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended.

  • OECD Country means a country that is a member of the grouping of countries that are full members of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development.
