European enforcement order definition

European enforcement order means a decision delivered by a competent authority of the issuing State for the purpose of enforcing a final sentence imposed on a natural person by a court of that State;

Examples of European enforcement order in a sentence

  • In the cases referred to in paragraph 1(a), (f) and (g), before deciding not to recognise and enforce a European enforcement order, the competent authority in the executing State shall consult the competent authority in the issuing State, by any appropriate means, and shall, where appropriate, ask it to supply any necessary additional information without delay.

  • The European enforcement order shall be forwarded directly to the competent authority in the executing State by the competent authority in the issuing State by any means which leaves a written record under conditions allowing the executing State to establish its authenticity.
