ESD Principles definition

ESD Principles. Means: efficient and effective use of natural resources in a way that maintains the ecological processes on which life depends; increased energy and water conservation and efficiency; sustainable development and use of renewable and alternative energy and water resources; reduction or elimination of toxic and harmful substances in facilities and their surrounding environments; improvements to interior and exterior environments leading to increased productivity and better health; efficiency in resource and materials utilisation, especially water resources; selection of materials and products based on their life-cycle environmental impacts; increased use of materials and products with recycled content; recycling of construction waste and building materials after demolition; reduction in harmful waste products produced during construction; use, operation and maintenance practices that reduce or minimise harmful effects on people and the natural environment; maintaining the cultural, economic, physical and social wellbeing of people and communities; the principles described in the Smart Infrastructure Handbook; and the additional principles specified in the Contract Particulars.

  • Agreed Principles means the terms set out in Part 1 of Schedule 1;

  • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles means the standards for accounting and preparation of financial statements established by the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (or its successor agency) or any successor standards adopted pursuant to relevant SEC rule.

  • Accounting Principles means the international financial reporting standards (IFRS) within the meaning of Regulation 1606/2002/EC (or as otherwise adopted or amended from time to time).

  • Information Privacy Principles means the information privacy principles set out in the PDP Act.

  • Halifax Abuse Principle means the principle explained in the CJEU Case C-255/02 Halifax and others;

  • Common Reporting Standard (CRS) means the Standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information (“AEOFAI”) in Tax Matters and was developed in response to the G20 request and approved by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Council on 15 July 2014, calls on jurisdictions to obtain information from their financial institutions and automatically exchange that information with other jurisdictions on an annual basis. It sets out the financial account information to be exchanged, the financial institutions required to report, the different types of accounts and taxpayers covered, as well as common due diligence procedures to be followed by financial institutions.

  • U.S. GAAP means United States generally accepted accounting principles.

  • PRC GAAP means the generally accepted accounting principles of the PRC.

  • Commonwealth Standard Grant Conditions means this document.

  • Requirements of Laws means any foreign, federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, rules, codes or ordinances enacted, adopted, issued or promulgated by any Governmental Body (including, without limitation, those pertaining to electrical, building, zoning, environmental and occupational safety and health requirements) or common law.

  • ESG Pricing Provisions has the meaning specified in Section 2.18.

  • bodies governed by public law means bodies that have all of the following characteristics:

  • Fixed GAAP Terms means (a) the definitions of the terms “Capitalized Lease Obligation,” “Consolidated Interest Expense,” “Consolidated Net Income,” “Consolidated Net Tangible Assets,” “Consolidated Total Assets,” “Consolidated Senior Secured Net Debt Ratio,” “Consolidated Total Net Debt Ratio,” “Consolidated Total Indebtedness,” “Consolidated EBITDA” and “Indebtedness,” (b) all defined terms in this Indenture to the extent used in or relating to any of the foregoing definitions, and all ratios and computations based on any of the foregoing definitions, and (c) any other term or provision of this Indenture or the Notes that, at the Issuer’s election, may be specified by the Issuer by written notice to the Trustee from time to time; provided that the Issuer may elect to remove any term from constituting a Fixed GAAP Term.

  • Applicable Technical Requirements and Standards means those certain technical requirements and standards applicable to interconnections of generation and/or transmission facilities with the facilities of an Interconnected Transmission Owner or, as the case may be and to the extent applicable, of an Electric Distributor, as published by Transmission Provider in a PJM Manual provided, however, that, with respect to any generation facilities with maximum generating capacity of 2 MW or less (synchronous) or 5 MW or less (inverter-based) for which the Interconnection Customer executes a Construction Service Agreement or Interconnection Service Agreement on or after March 19, 2005, “Applicable Technical Requirements and Standards” shall refer to the “PJM Small Generator Interconnection Applicable Technical Requirements and Standards.” All Applicable Technical Requirements and Standards shall be publicly available through postings on Transmission Provider’s internet website.

  • Agreed Security Principles means the principles set out in Schedule 11 (Agreed Security Principles).

  • Common Reporting Standard means the standard for automatic exchange of financial account information in tax matters (which includes the Commentaries), developed by the OECD, with G20 countries;
