Equivalent Resolution definition

Equivalent Resolution means a resolution of either the Corporation or P&O Princess that is equivalent in nature and effect to a resolution of the other company.

Equivalent Resolution means a resolution of either the Company or Carnival that is equivalent in nature and effect to a resolution of the other company; “Exchange Event” means any of the following:

In addition, if a resolution was proposed by one of the companies (the "Proposing Company") that did not need to be proposed by the other company (the "Other Company"), (e.g. a resolution for the approval of the disapplication of pre-emption rights if under Applicable Regulations this needs to be approved by P&O Princess' shareholders, but not by Carnival's shareholders), then the Proposing Company would put that resolution to a meeting of its shareholders and the same or substantially the same resolution (provided that a duly authorised officer of Carnival and a duly authorised officer of P&O Princess give the certification described above) would also be put to a meeting of the Other Company's shareholders, to enable both sets of shareholders to vote on that resolution);
