Emission Rate definition

Emission Rate for a given pollutant means the number of pounds of that pollutant emitted per million British thermal units of heat input (lb/mmBTU), measured in accordance with this Consent Decree.
Emission Rate means the number of pounds of pollutant emitted per million BTU of heat input (“lb/mmBTU”), measured in accordance with this Consent Decree.
Emission Rate means, if not otherwise stated in a specific provision, the total quantity of a particular specified air contaminant discharged into the atmosphere in any one-hour period. For example, if not otherwise specified in 35 Ill. Adm. Code 218 or 219, emission rate means the total quantity of volatile organic material discharged into the atmosphere in any one-hour period.

Examples of Emission Rate in a sentence

  • For example, an Emission Rate of 0.100 is not met if the actual Emission Rate is 0.101.

  • For example, if an actual Emission Rate is 0.1004, that shall be reported as 0.100, and shall be in compliance with an Emission Rate of 0.100, and if an actual Emission Rate is 0.1005, that shall be reported as 0.101, and shall not be in compliance with an Emission Rate of 0.100.
