Emergency situations include, but are not limited to: severe weather conditions, natural disaster related hazards, and mechanical or equipment failure.
Emergency situations include, but are not limited to, inclement weather, fire, emergency repairs, and dangerous conditions or situations which may arise on or near the community.
Emergency situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis in such a manner as to cause the least possible disruption to overall system operations and availability without negatively affecting system stability and integrity.
Emergency situations requiring their presence will not require such written notice, subject to advising and receiving approval from their manager.
Shelter Providers must develop policies and procedures for the tracking and reporting of incidents involving: • Abuse, suspected abuse, and reportable abuse including Adult Protective Services or Child Protective Services; • Acts of violence or sexual misconduct; • Death of participant and/or shelter staff; • Emergency situations that prompt evacuation; and • Substantial damage to the facility, or the discovery of hazardous material on shelter’s premises.
