Eligible Medical Services definition

Eligible Medical Services means only those hospital expenses, medical expenses, medical plans or any combination of such expenses or plans which, pursuant to the Income Tax Act (Canada), including section 248(1) and section 118.2(2) thereof and regulations thereunder, may be included in the PHSP;

  • Funeral services means services customarily performed by a mortuary science licensee who is licensed pursuant to article 18 of the occupational code, 1980 PA 299, MCL 339.1801 to 339.1812. Funeral services include, but are not limited to, care of dead human remains, embalming, preparation of dead human remains for final disposition, professional services relating to a funeral or an alternative to a funeral or final disposition of dead human remains, transportation of dead human remains, limousine services, use of facilities or equipment for viewing dead human remains, visitation, memorial services, or services which are used in connection with a funeral or alternative to a funeral, coordinating or conducting funeral rites or ceremonies, cremations, and other services provided in connection with a funeral, alternative to a funeral, or final disposition of dead human remains.

  • Educational Services means educational training provided to Entitled Students at a School;

  • Nursing services means the provision of individual-specific advice, plans, or interventions by a nurse at a home based on the nursing process as outlined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Nursing services differ from administrative nursing services.

  • Emergency medical care provider means an individual who has been trained to provide emergency and nonemergency medical care at the first responder, EMT-basic, EMT-intermediate, EMT-paramedic, paramedic specialist or other certification levels recognized by the department before 1984 and who has been issued a certificate by the department.

  • Qualified medical provider means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.

  • Hospice services means palliative and supportive care and other services provided by an interdisciplinary team under the direction of an identifiable hospice administration to terminally ill hospice patients and their families to meet the physical, nutritional, emotional, social, spiritual, and special needs experienced during the final stages of illness, dying, and bereavement, as defined in Minnesota Statutes, § 144A.75, subd. 8, and includes the set of services as determined by the Medicare program under §1861(dd) of the Social Security Act and defined in 42 CFR § 418.3.

  • PREVENTIVE CARE SERVICES means covered healthcare services performed to prevent the occurrence of disease as defined by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). See Preventive Care and Early Detection Services in Section 3. PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER (PCP) means, for the purpose of this plan, professional providers that are family practitioners, internists, and pediatricians. For the purpose of this plan, gynecologists, obstetricians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants may be credentialed as PCPs.   • Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services or “CMS” means the federal office under the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, responsible for the Medicare and Medicaid programs.

  • Inpatient services means services provided to you as an admitted inpatient in a recognised private or public hospital for treatment that is in an included clinical category, has a Medicare item number allocated and a Medicare benefit is payable.

  • technical service means an organisation or body designated by the approval authority of a Member State as a testing laboratory to carry out tests, or as a conformity assessment body to carry out the initial assessment and other tests or inspections, on behalf of the approval authority, it being possible for the approval authority itself to carry out those functions;

  • Cemetery services means cremations, grave openings and closings, and installation of grave memorials.

  • Inpatient care means treatment for which the insured person has to stay in a hospital for more than 24 hours for a covered event.
