Eligible Family Members definition

Eligible Family Members means, with respect to each annual benefit year, Executive's spouse or travel companion, dependent unmarried children through age 20 and through age 25 if full-time students, and a maximum of two parents (which may be biological or step-parents); provided that, if Flight Benefits are provided to Executive after Executive's termination of employment pursuant to this Agreement, then, following such termination of employment, an Eligible Family Member shall not include any individual with respect to whom a benefit described in paragraph 4.8(ix)(a) is taxable;

Eligible Family Members as used in this Article shall mean the eligible employee’s legal spouse, registered Domestic Partner, and children from birth to the end of the month in which the dependent children reach age twenty-six (26). An adopted child, stepchild, natural child recognized by the parent, or a child living with the employee in a parent-child relationship as certified by the employee at the time of enrollment of the child, and annually thereafter up to the age of twenty-six (26) is also eligible. A family member who is a disabled child over the age twenty-six (26) may also be enrolled if, at the time of initial enrollment of the employee, satisfactory evidence of such disability is presented to the carrier consistent with the carrier’s requirements. Upon attaining age twenty-six (26), a disabled child who is already enrolled may be continued in enrollment if satisfactory evidence of that disability is filed with the carrier in accordance with the carrier’s criteria. Eligible Family Members means spouse and dependent children of a staff member for whom educational grant, medical services, and travel expenses are provided for by the Union in accordance with the provisions stipulated under the relevant Rules.

Examples of Eligible Family Members in a sentence

• Supplemental Survivor Income will cease if the full benefit due under the Disability and Survivorship Plan may be paid from that plan, and the Disability and Survivorship Plan assumes full payment of the benefit amount or when there are no remaining Eligible Family Member(s) under that Plan.

• A “Qualified Investment Vehicle” is (i) a trust of which the trustee, grantor and/or beneficiary is an Eligible Employee, (ii) a partnership, corporation or other entity controlled by an Eligible Employee, or (iii) a trust or other entity established solely for the benefit of an Eligible Employee or Eligible Family Members of an Eligible Employee.

• The amount of benefits payable to such a Key Employee, his or her Spouse, Eligible Family Members or beneficiaries under this Plan shall be governed exclusively by the Excess Benefit Agreement entered into with such Key Employee.

• Except with respect to any claim related to a disability benefit, the Company, the Key Employee, his or her Spouse, Eligible Family Members, and beneficiaries, if any, and the trustee of any trust established under Section 7 shall be bound by the award rendered in such arbitration, and judgment under the award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction.

• The day that the retirement income benefit, disability benefit or survivor benefit, as the case may be, commences under the Retirement Plan or Disability and Survivorship Plan with respect to Key Employee or his or her Spouse, Domestic Partner, or Eligible Family Member(s).

Upon attaining age twenty-six (26), a disabled child who is already enrolled may be continued in enrollment if satisfactory evidence of that disability is filed with the carrier in accordance with the carrier's criteria. The parties agree to extend health, dental and vision benefits to domestic partners, as defined pursuant to section 297 et. Seq of the Family Code, section 22867 et. Seq. of the Government Code and section 1261 of the Health and Safety Code, of benefit eligible employees in the bargaining unit. The parties further agree that the registration of domestic partners of benefit eligible employees, and all other procedures and conditions required to receive health benefits as currently set forth in CalPERS Circular Letter 200- 189-04, shall also apply to the receipt of dental and vision benefits. If said CalPERS regulations are revised, Circular Letter 000-000-00 as amended will control the implementation of health, dental and vision benefits for the domestic partners of benefit eligible employees.

Eligible Family Members means, with respect to each annual benefit year, Non-Employee Director's spouse or travel companion, dependent unmarried children through age 20 and through age 25 if full-time students, and a maximum of two parents (which may be biological or step-parents); provided that an Eligible Family Member shall not include any individual with respect to whom a benefit described in paragraph 2(i)(a) is taxable.

Eligible Family Members means the legally married spouse of the Insured under 60 years of age on the Effective Date of Insurance of this Policy, and all legally dependent unmarried children, including step children and legally adopted children of the Insured, who are aged between 6 months and 21 years old or full-time students upto 23 years old at a school, college or university on the Effective Date of Insurance of this Policy.
