Where capitalised operation and maintenance charges apply the charges are normally derived from taking the estimated cost of the additional Electric Plant and/or Electric Lines required for the connection multiplied by a discounted maintenance rate incorporating the cost of capital agreed with Ofgem and the assumed life of the connection, and is normally expressed as a percentage of the initial capital value of that apparatus.
