Elapsed Time definition

Elapsed Time shall be defined as the time period between the start of the faculty member’s first assignment and the end of the faculty member’s last assignment on any day.
Elapsed Time. A method of determining an Employee’s entitlement under the Plan with respect to eligibility to participate, as well as vesting, which is not based on the Employee’s completion of a specified number of Hours of Service during a consecutive twelve (12) month period, but rather with reference to the total period of time which elapses during which the Employee is employed by the Employer maintaining the Plan. If the Employer is a member of an affiliated service group [under Code Section 414(m)], a controlled group of corporations [under Code Section 414(b)], a group of trades or businesses under common control [under Code Section 414(c)] or any other entity required to be aggregated with the Employer pursuant to Code Section 414(o), Service will be credited for any employment for any period of time for any other member or such group. Service will also be credited for any individual required under Code Section 414(n) or Code Section 414(o) to be considered an Employee of any Employer aggregated under Code Section 414(b), (c) or (m).
