Easy Read definition

Easy Read means an accessible format designed for people with a learning disability including the use of simple jargon free language, shorter sentences and supporting images;

Examples of Easy Read in a sentence

  • Alternative formats may include Easy Read, Braille, audio formats (CD, mp3 or DAISY), large print or minority languages to meet the needs of those for whom English is not their first language.

  • On request it may be possible to make this policy available in alternative formats such as large print, Braille, disk, audio file, audio cassette, Easy Read or in minority languages to meet the needs of those not fluent in English.

  • Examples include the jointly developed complaints procedure, the reasonable adjustments support pack and the Easy Read translations for documents, including the development of a common vocabulary in Easy Read format.

  • Harbour Master means the ABP Harbour Master or Dock Master for the Port (as appropriate) or their authorised representative;

  • We/Our/Us means the Underwriters named in the Schedule.

  • Crown means the government of the United Kingdom (including the Northern Ireland Assembly and Executive Committee, the Scottish Executive and the National Assembly for Wales), including, but not limited to, government ministers and government departments and particular bodies, persons, commissions or agencies from time to time carrying out functions on its behalf;

  • AMC means Annual Maintenance Contract

  • harbour means the port or harbour at or near Port Hedland or such other port or place mutually agreed on and serving the Company’s wharf;

  • Universal Digital Loop Carrier (UDLC means the DLC system that has a CO terminal channel bank that is connected to the CO switches on the analog side.

  • LOCKHEED XXXXXX means LOCKHEED XXXXXX CORPORATION, acting through its companies or business units as identified on the face of this Contract. If a subsidiary or affiliate of LOCKHEED XXXXXX CORPORATION is identified on the face of this Contract, then "LOCKHEED XXXXXX" means that subsidiary or affiliate.

  • EAG clause 35;

  • Air gap separation means the unobstructed vertical distance through the free atmosphere between the lowest opening from any pipe or faucet supplying water to a tank, plumbing fixture, or other device and the overflow level rim of the receptacle, and shall be at least double the diameter of the supply pipe measured vertically above the flood level rim of the vessel, but in no case less than one inch.

  • Life-of-the-unit, firm power contractual arrangement means a unit participation power sales agreement under which a utility or industrial customer reserves, or is entitled to receive, a specified amount or percentage of nameplate capacity and associated energy from any specified unit and pays its proportional amount of such unit's total costs, pursuant to a contract:

  • Weapon-free school zone means school property and a vehicle used by a school to transport students to or from school property.

  • Switching and Tagging Rules means the switching and tagging procedures of Interconnected Transmission Owners and Interconnection Customer as they may be amended from time to time.

  • Shadow tray means a device attached to the radiation head to support auxiliary beam blocking material.

  • Stinger-steered automobile or watercraft transporter means an automobile or watercraft transporter

  • CSDCC means the China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd. “CSRC” means the China Securities Regulatory Commission.

  • Centrex shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.2.2.9.

  • Source separation means the separation of different kinds of solid waste at the place where the waste originates.

  • IOC means the International Olympic Committee.

  • American Express Meeting Planner Account or “AMEX MPA” is the method by which all Master Account charges under this Agreement shall be settled with an American Express Meeting Planner Account or AMEX MPA number. The appropriate and authorized AMEX MPA number will be provided to the Contractor only when a final invoice is received, reviewed, and approved by the AOC, in accordance with the provisions of this exhibit.

  • Marine terminal means a public or private commercial wharf

  • Carnival means a traveling business providing commercial entertainment consisting of sideshows, concessions, rides, games of chance, and other amusements. When held outdoors, a carnival is a type of outdoor festival or outdoor community event.

  • DTMB means the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget. “Effective Date” has the meaning set forth in the preamble.

  • CC means the Conditions of Contract.

  • CSA means Canadian Standards Association;

  • BTCo means Bankers Trust Company, in its individual capacity, and any successor corporation thereto by merger, consolidation or otherwise.

  • SPP Has the meaning stated in the preamble of this Agreement.
