Distributed Renewable Energy Generation Device definition

Distributed Renewable Energy Generation Device means a generating unit that (i) is powered by photovoltaic cells and panels; (ii) is interconnected at the distribution system level in Illinois of Ameren Illinois Company, Commonwealth Edison Company, MidAmerican Energy Company, Mt. Carmel Public Utility Co., or a “municipal utility” as defined in Section 1-10 of the IPA Act, or a “rural electric cooperative” as defined in Section 3-119 of the Illinois Public Utilities Act; (iii) located on the customer side of the customer's electric meter and is primarily used to offset that customer's electricity load; (iv) is limited in Nameplate Capacity to no more than two thousand (2,000) kW; and (v) is installed by qualified persons in compliance with Section 16-128A of the Public Utilities Act and any rules and regulations adopted thereunder.” The following is added as Section 1.24.1:
