Distant Work definition

Distant Work means work at locations where it is not reasonable or possible for the Employee to return to their normal place of residence, or to any separately maintained residence, each night.
Distant Work means when an Employee is employed on construction work at such a distance from the Employee’s usual place of residence or any separately maintained residence that the Employee cannot reasonably return to that place each night. Employee means a person or persons who are directly employed by the Company in South Australia covered by the classifications set out this Agreement.
Distant Work means employment at a workplace other than their usual workplace or depot that requires an Employee to live away from the Employee’s usual residence.

Examples of Distant Work in a sentence

  • When employees are to be engaged on Distant Work requiring them to live away from home (refer NBCIA Clause 37) first class accommodation, including full board shall be provided by the employer.

  • WORKERS Employees classified as Distant Workers as defined and International Distant Workers as defined shall be entitled to the conditions contained at Appendix 7 – Distant Work Provisions of this Agreement.
