Displaced employee definition

Displaced employee means an employee of Railroad who, as a result of a transaction is placed in a worse position with respect to his compensation and rules governing his working conditions, unless changed by future collective bargaining agreements or applicable statutes.
Displaced employee. An active employee who must move from his/her assignment location because of a staffing imbalance resulting from layoff or because of a closure or both.
