Directed Work definition

Directed Work means a work that is specifically funded or created at the direction of UNC Asheville, including, but not limited to, works for hire by University employees. Such funding need not constitute Exceptional Use of UNC Asheville Resources in order for the work to be considered a Directed Work.
Directed Work means intellectual property and any work or invention:
Directed Work means an individual creates or develops Intellectual Property at the specific direction of the University or as a result of fulfillment of obligations of a specific contract with the University.

Directed Work means intellectual property and any work or invention created by staff or administrators in the course of their employment or commissioned by the University as stipulated in an agreement or contract. Directed work may be compensated by the institution or through a state, federal or private grant. It may also include work created by faculty, researchers, or students pursuant to an agreement and when supported by substantial University resources beyond those customarily provided to faculty, researchers, or students in their respective disciplines. In such instances where directed work is compensated by or pursuant to a state, federal, or private grant, contract, or agreement, the allocation/ownership of intellectual property rights shall be addressed and established prior to final and full execution of the contract/agreement.
Directed Work means any changes, modification, or improvement to a Licensed Product that is proposed by Avaya and developed at Licensor's expense.

  • Development Work means the conduct of preclinical and clinical trials, the compilation of the regulatory dossier concerning Licensed Products and the conduct of other work necessary or useful for obtaining Regulatory Approval of Licensed Products.
