Diagnostic Code definition

Diagnostic Code means the properly constructed numeric code from the International Classification of Diseases, version ICD-9-CM for dates of service before October 1, 2015. For dates of service on or after October 1, 2015, it means the properly constructed alpha-numeric code, ICD-10-CM.
