Device Type definition

Device Type means a type or class of Device (such as an Operating System, Firewall, Antivirus software, Universal Adapter).

Licensee shall pay fees for Device Digital Certificates and Keys as set out in Exhibit I in accordance with the Certificate Supply Agreement which Licensee executes pursuant to Section 3.5. (“License Fee”, “Registration Fee” and fee for Key and Device Digital Certificates shall be hereinafter collectively referred to as “Fees”).

Device Type means, in respect of a Device, a generic description of the category of Devices into which the Device falls. Digital Signature means, in respect of any electronic Data, a digital signature generated using: (a) the entirety of those Data (excluding the digital signature itself and, to the extent specified in the code, any other parts of those Data); (b) a Private Key; and (c) the signature algorithm defined in the certificate profile in the certificate policy under which the certificate associated with that Private Key was issued or (where such certificate policy does not exist) the signature algorithm relevant to that certificate. Digitally Signed means, in respect of any electronic Data, that such Data have had the necessary Digital Signatures applied to them (and “Digitally Sign” and “Digitally Signing” are to be interpreted accordingly).

Device Type means a type or class of object (such as Unix Servers or Universal Adapter). “Sensor Device” includes but is not limited to intrusion sensors and detector sensors.
