Designated Days Off definition

Designated Days Off will be defined in the respective Schedules. A General Holiday that falls on Designated Day Off that is not a vacation or a furlough, will be observed on the next scheduled work day. The date on which a General Holiday is observed will become a day off, or if worked, will be compensated at double time.
Designated Days Off. All employees will be permitted to designate days off, if desired. The Employer will make all reasonable efforts to schedule an employee’s desired days off consecutively. Where the Employer is unable to grant consecutive days off, they will provide the reasons to the employee in writing / email. Denial of consecutive days will be subject to the grievance procedure. Designated Days Off means two consecutive days off, other than a paid holiday, in any seven (7) calendar day period averaged over the length of the rotation. EMPLOYEE means any person who is covered by the certification awarded by the Labour Relations Board of British Columbia. (or any succeeding Acts) EMPLOYER means the legal name of the Employer on the certification issued by the Labour Relations Board of British Columbia (Xxxxxxx Rest Home Ltd).

Examples of Designated Days Off in a sentence

  • Designated Days Off" (DDO) are established for a project, the Owner/Client has the sole right to designate the days of no work.

  • In addition to the foregoing recognized holidays, there shall be nine (9) Designated Days Off, as designated in Section B(2) below.

  • If work is performed on Designated Days Off, wages will be paid at one and one-half (1 ½) times the employees Taxable Net Wage.

  • All work performed before or after the regular work day, before or after the regular work week including Saturdays and Designated Days Off, shall be paid at the overtime rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the Taxable Net Wage.

  • In addition to the foregoing recognized holidays, there shall be seven (7) Designated Days Off per contract year: July 1, 2011, September 2, 2011, November 11, 2011, November 25, 2011, April 6, 2012, May 25, 2012, June 15, 2012, August 31, 2012, November 12, 2012, November 23, 2012, December 31, 2012, March 29, 2013, May 24, 2013, June 14, 2013, July 5, 2013, August 30, 2013, November 11, 2013, November 29, 2013, April 18, 2014, May 23, 2014 and June 13, 2014.

  • There shall be three (3) Designated Days Off per contract year: September 1st, 2017 May 25th, 2018, July 5th, 2018, August 31st, 2018, May 24th, 2019, July 5th, 2019, August 30th, 2019, May 22nd, 2020, July 6th, 2020.

Related to Designated Days Off

  • Accrued Day(s) Off means the paid day(s) off accruing to an employee resulting from an entitlement to the 38 hour week as prescribed in Clause 6. - Hours of this award.

  • Designated Date means September 30, 2006.

  • Rostered Day Off means any day (other than a "Non-working Day" as defined) upon which an employee is not rostered to work any ordinary hours of work: provided that an employee's rostered day off shall be a period of twenty-four hours commencing from the completion of an ordinary-hours work period. 7. - CONTRACT OF SERVICE (1) Subject to sub-clauses (7) and (8) of this clause, an employer must not terminate an employee's employment unless:

  • Accrued Day Off means the paid day off accruing to an employee resulting from an entitlement to the 38 hour week as prescribed in Clause 6. - Hours of Duty, Overtime and On Call, in this award.

  • Election Date has the meaning specified in Section 3.12(h).

  • Working Days means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday in England and Wales; and

  • Bill Date The date when a CenturyLink service is billed and/or invoiced to a customer. The Bill Date is generally the date one (1) Day past the billing cycle close date and will appear on any such bill or invoice.

  • Teaching days means days on which classes were engaged. Examination days are not to be included)

  • Day/Days means calendar days, inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

  • Selection Date means, with respect to each New Account, the date on which such New Account is originated.

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Quarterly Payment Date means the last Business Day of each March, June, September and December.

  • lump sum payment period means the period measured in weeks of salary, for which payment has been made to facilitate the transition to retirement or to other employment as a result of the implementation of various programs to reduce the size of the Public Service. The lump sum payment period does not include the period of severance pay, which is measured in a like manner.

  • Election Form means the form established from time to time by the Committee that a Participant completes, signs and returns to the Committee to make an election under the Plan.

  • Enrollment Date means the first day of each Offering Period.

  • Work Days means judicial days (or a day when the court is open).

  • Settlement Method Election Date With respect to any Settlement of any Transaction, the 2nd Scheduled Trading Day immediately preceding (x) the Valuation Date for such Transaction, in the case of Physical Settlement, or (y) the First Unwind Date for such Transaction, in the case of Cash Settlement or Net Share Settlement.

  • Deferral Election Form means the form established from time to time by the Plan Administrator that the Director completes, signs and returns to the Plan Administrator to designate the amount of the Deferrals.

  • Notification Date means 30 days from an Account statement date (see section 6.3).

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • Work Day means any day that an Employee is regularly scheduled to work and for which the Employee receives payment from the Employer.

  • Scheduled Issued Date or "SID" means the date the order is entered into Qwest's order distribution system.

  • Last Payment Date means the date for the last payment shown in the Registered Mortgage.

  • Quarterly Payment Dates means each March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.

  • Child day center means a child day program offered to (i) two or more children under the age of 13 in a facility that is not the residence of the provider or of any of the children in care or (ii) 13 or more children at any location.
