Design for Construction definition

Design for Construction means the complete and final design and construction documents provided by Architect pursuant to the contract between Owner and Architect and shall include the plans and specifications prepared by or on behalf of Architect for use in constructing the Project, performing the Work, and rendering the Project fully operational. All changes and modifications to the Design for Construction issued in accordance with the requirements of this Agreement shall become and be a part of the Design for Construction.

  • The Design for Construction shall include, but shall not necessarily be limited to, plans and specifications which describe with specificity all systems, elements, details, components, materials, equipment, and other information necessary for construction.

  • The Preliminary Design and the Design for Construction shall become and be the sole property of the Owner.

  • In the event the final estimate of the Cost of Construction as provided in this Paragraph exceeds the Maximum Cost Limit, or in the event the lowest bona fide bid from a qualified contractor exceeds the Maximum Cost Limit, the CITY may require the CONSULTANT, without additional cost to the CITY, to consult with the CITY and to revise and modify the Design for Construction and the Contract Documents as required to achieve compliance with the Maximum Cost Limit.

  • In preparing the Design for Construction, the Architect shall retain an experienced, qualified geotechnical consultant to evaluate all geotechnical considerations relating to the design and construction of the Project.

  • New construction means, for the purposes of determining insurance rates, structures for which the "start of construction" commenced on or after the effective date of an initial FIRM or after December 31, 1974, whichever is later, and includes any subsequent improvements to such structures. For floodplain management purposes, "new construction" means structures for which the "start of construction" commenced on or after the effective date of the floodplain management regulations adopted by a community and includes any subsequent improvements to such structures.

  • The constructional plant means all appliances, tools, plants or machinery or whatsoever nature required in or about the execution, completion or maintenance of the works but does not include materials or other things intended to form part of the permanent work.

  • Completion of Construction means the date, as determined by the Division after consultation with the Recipient, that the work of building and erection of the Project is substantially complete.

  • Commencement of Construction means the initial disturbance of soils associated with clearing, grading, or excavating activities or other construction activities.

  • Existing construction means any structure for which the "start of construction" commenced before the effective date of the initial floodplain management code or ordinance adopted by the community as a basis for that community's participation in the NFIP.

  • Erection, construction, remodeling, repairing means all types of work done on a particular building or work at the site thereof in the construction or development of the project, including without limitation, erecting, construction, remodeling, repairing, altering, painting, and decorating, the transporting of materials and supplies to or from the building or work done by the employees of the Contractor, Subcontractor, or Agent thereof, and the manufacturing or furnishing of

  • Pre-Construction Phase Services means the participation, documentation and execution of Contractor’s Pre-Construction Phase deliverables as required by this Agreement and further defined in Article 5.

  • Direct Construction Cost means the sum of the amounts that the Construction Manager actually and necessarily incurs for General Conditions Costs, Cost of the Work and Construction Manager’s Contingency during the Construction Phase as allowed by this Agreement. Direct Construction Cost does not include Pre-Construction Phase Fees or Construction Phase Fees.

  • Construction sign means a sign which identifies the architect, engineers, contractors and other individuals or firms involved with the construction of a building, or announces the character of the building or enterprise, which is erected during the building construction period.

  • Interconnection Construction Service Agreement means the agreement entered into by an Interconnection Customer, Interconnected Transmission Owner and the Transmission Provider pursuant to Tariff, Part VI, Subpart B and in the form set forth in Tariff, Attachment P, relating to construction of Attachment Facilities, Network Upgrades, and/or Local Upgrades and coordination of the construction and interconnection of an associated Customer Facility. A separate Interconnection Construction Service Agreement will be executed with each Transmission Owner that is responsible for construction of any Attachment Facilities, Network Upgrades, or Local Upgrades associated with interconnection of a Customer Facility.
