Deepwater Horizon Incident definition

Deepwater Horizon Incident means the subsea blowout and resulting oil spill at the Macondo well site in the GoM in April 2010 and subsequent sinking of the Deepwater Horizon drilling rig;

Deepwater Horizon Incident means the following, all through the date of lodging of this Consent Decree: all discharges of hydrocarbons or other substances from the Deepwater Horizon mobile offshore drilling unit and/or the Macondo Well occurring on or after April 20, 2010, the explosion and fire on the Deepwater Horizon, the loss of the Deepwater Horizon, containment efforts related to the Macondo Well, construction of the relief wells within the meaning of the Macondo Well, and clean-up and remediation efforts, and all other responsive actions in connection with the foregoing events.

• BPXP and the BP Entities reserve their right to object to any statements, data, findings, methods, or calculations in the PDARP or future restoration plans related to the Deepwater Horizon Incident, in any proceeding, forum, or matter other than a proceeding to challenge the legal sufficiency or validity of the Consent Decree or the PDARP or any such future plan.

• VoO means Vessels of Opportunity, the program through which BP, or its contractors, contracted with vessel owners to assist in Deepwater Horizon Incident Response Activities.

Deepwater Horizon Incident means the fire and explosions on the Deepwater Horizon that commenced on April 20, 2010; the events, actions, inactions, and omissions leading up to the fire and explosions; the ensuing loss of life and personal injuries; the loss of hydrocarbon reserves from MC252; the loss of the Deepwater Horizon; the releases of hydrocarbons and other pollutants from the MC252 reservoir and the drilling unit; the containment efforts; the subsequent clean up and remediation efforts and all other responsive actions; and related property or other damage arising or resulting from the incident.

Deepwater Horizon Incident means the oil spill

Deepwater Horizon Incident means events, actions, inactions, and/or omissions leading up to and including the following: (i) discharges of hydrocarbons or other substances from the Macondo Well, including discharges from, through, or into the Deepwater Horizon mobile offshore drilling unit (including its appurtenances) (“Deepwater Horizon”), occurring on or after April 20, 2010, regardless of any subsequent movement of such hydrocarbons or other substances; (ii) the blow-out of the Macondo Well; (iii) the explosion and fire on the Deepwater Horizon; (iv) the sinking and/or loss of the Deepwater Horizon;

Deepwater Horizon Incident shall, for purposes of this Agreement, refer to the design, planning, preparation or drilling of the MC252 Well; the services, products, equipment, spare parts, and modifications contracted for or provided by Cameron, its Affiliates or by any other Person with respect to the MC252 Well, the Deepwater Horizon rig, and any appurtenances or drilling equipment on the rig, including the BOP and its associated controls equipment, whether deployed subsea or on the rig; the blowout and explosion on the Deepwater Horizon mobile offshore drilling unit or rig that occurred on April 20, 2010; the ensuing fire and loss of life, personal injury, and bodily injury; the sinking of the rig and the resulting release of hydrocarbons and other pollutants from the MC252 Well site and the Deepwater Horizon rig; any damages to any reservoir, aquifer, geological formation or underground strata; the relief well efforts; the subsequent clean up and remediation efforts and all other responsive actions taken in connection with the blowout of the MC252 Well.

Deepwater Horizon Incident means events, actions, inactions, and omissions leading up to and including the following: (i) all discharges of hydrocarbons or other substances from the Macondo Well, including discharges from, through, or into the Deepwater Horizon mobile offshore drilling unit (including its appurtenances), occurring on or after April 20, 2010, regardless of any subsequent movement of such hydrocarbons or other substances; (ii) the blow-out of the Macondo Well; (iii) the explosion and fire on the Deepwater Horizon; (iv) the sinking and/or loss of the Deepwater Horizon; (v) any and all containment efforts related to the Macondo Well; (vi) construction of relief xxxxx related to the Macondo Well; (vii) any and all clean-up, remediation, removal, response, and/or restoration efforts related to the foregoing, including but not limited to the Vessels of Opportunity program, the application of dispersants, and any diversion of fresh water; and (viii) operations of any claims facility related to the foregoing.

Deepwater Horizon Incident means the events leading to and including the blowout of the “Macondo” exploratory well and the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010, the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon on April 22, 2010, the release of oil and other substances from the “Macondo” exploratory well and the Deepwater Horizon into the Gulf of Mexico, and all events, actions, and/or omissions related thereto.

Deepwater Horizon Incident means events, actions, inactions, and/or omissions leading up to and including the following: (i) all discharges of hydrocarbons or other substances from the Macondo Well, and all discharges from, through, or into the Deepwater Horizon mobile offshore drilling unit (including its appurtenances), occurring on or after April 20, 2010, regardless of any subsequent movement, migration, resuspension, or resurfacing of such hydrocarbons or other substances; (ii) the installation, construction, drilling and/or blowout of the Macondo Well; (iii) the explosion and fire on the Deepwater Horizon; (iv) the sinking and/or loss of the Deepwater Horizon; (v) any and all containment efforts related to the Macondo Well; (vi) construction of relief wells related to the Macondo Well; (vii) any and all cleanup, remediation, removal, response, and/or restoration efforts related to the foregoing, including, but not limited to, the Vessels of Opportunity program, the application of dispersants, and any diversion of fresh water; and (viii) operations of any claims facility related to any of the foregoing.
