Dedicated Internet Access definition

Dedicated Internet Access or “DIA" shall mean a dedicated high-speed connection to the Internet. Over a single access port connection ("Port"), Buyer may select from several connectivity options, a n d speeds as set forth on any Service Order. The available configurations are subject to technical limitations, and Seller shall determine the actual allowed and available configurations from time to time consistent with then current technical considerations. Among other things, due to protocol overhead, IP addresses may be assigned to Buyer by Seller as deemed appropriate by Seller at rates agreed to by the Parties, but such IP addresses remain the property of Seller and are not transferred to Buyer or its User upon termination or expiration of this Supplement or any respective Service Order. Buyer and its Users will promptly return such IP addresses, and cooperate with any additional documentation of same, upon termination or expiration of this Supplement or any respective Service Order.

The available configurations are subject to technical limitations, and Seller shall determine the actual allowed and available configurations from time to time consistent with then current technical considerations. Among other things, due to protocol overhead, IP addresses may be assigned to Buyer by Seller as deemed appropriate by Seller at rates agreed to by the Parties, but such IP addresses remain the property of Seller and are not transferred to Buyer or its User upon termination or expiration of this Supplement or any respective Service Order. Buyer and its Users will promptly return such IP addresses, and cooperate with any additional documentation of same, upon termination or expiration of this Supplement or any respective Service Order.
Dedicated Internet Access means a link by means of an electronic communications facility, which is a dedicated, permanent, open, secure, high quality point-to-point connection between the Client’s and Vocall’s managed infrastructure over a digital transmission network to provide the Service and shall include any hardware, software, cables, connectors, interfaces, associated media, printed media and/or electronic documentation;

  • Internet Access means a service that enables users to access content, information, electronic mail or other services over the internet. Internet access does not include telecommunication services provided by a common carrier.

  • Broadband Internet access service means a mass-market retail service by wire or radio that provides the capability to transmit data to and receive data from all or substantially all Internet endpoints, including any capabilities that are incidental to and enable the operation of the communications service, but excluding dial-up Internet access service. This term also encompasses any service that the State finds to be providing a functional equivalent of the service described in the previous sentence, or that is used to evade the protections set forth in this section.
