Wire Transfers: Once we’ve begun processing the wire transfer and completed all of our internal reviews, we will apply the transaction to your account and update your available balance on the transfer’s effective date. While we make every effort to place transactions in a pending status on your account during the day, transactions may be unable to be displayed as pending before they are posted to your account. How these items are posted when they are completed and no longer display as pending is based on the posting order. Fees are applied against the account based on how items are posted. For details, refer to Posting Order. Posting Order Posting order is the order in which we apply deposits and withdrawals to your account. We provide you with visibility into how transactions are posted and in what order to help you better manage your account. When we transition from one business day to the next business day we post transactions to and from your account during our nightly processing. The order in which we generally post items during nightly processing for each business day is: • First, we make any previous day adjustments, and add deposits to your account. • Second, we subtract transactions in chronological order by using the date and time of when the transaction was authorized or shown as pending. Debit Card Transactions. When we receive an electronic notice that a Credit Union Debit Card Mastercard transaction has been authorized against your account, we will place a hold on your account for that amount. Some merchants (e.g., hotels, restaurants, gas stations, car rental agencies) estimate the amount of the anticipated purchase for the purpose of determining an authorization amount. As a result, the amount held against your account may be less or greater than the final transaction amount presented. Your available account balance will be reduced by the amount held for all pending debit card Mastercard purchases from the time we receive the notice until the item is presented or three business days, whichever occurs first. If we release a hold due to the expiration of three business days, your account may still be debited if and when the transaction is presented to us for processing. During that time, sufficient funds may not be available to pay checks or other electronic transactions, and you may be subject to an overdraft or insufficient funds fee. Purchases at Merchants: You may use any of your Credit Union Debit Cards to make purchases at Mastercard® merchants that accept debit cards. You may use your Credit Union ATM Card and any of your Credit Union Debit Cards to make purchases by entering your PIN at participating merchants. You may also get cash from a merchant, if the merchant permits. Purchases made with your card will result in debits to your “primary” checking account. These transactions will be itemized on your monthly statement, including the merchant name, location, the date of purchase and the amount of the purchase.
