Database Rights definition

Database Rights means any rights in databases under the laws of the United States or any other jurisdiction, whether registered or unregistered, and any applications for registration thereof.

Database Rights means rights other than copyright resulting from Directive 96/9/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March 1996 on the legal protection of databases, as amended and/or succeeded, as well as other essentially equivalent rights anywhere in the world.

Database Rights means as rights in databases are defined in s.3A of Part 1 Chapter 1 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Examples of Database Rights in a sentence

• Database Rights" means any rights in databases under the laws of the United States or any other jurisdiction, whether registered or unregistered, and any applications for registration thereof.

• Under the Database Rights included in Lumentum Licensed IPR, to extract data from the databases included therein and to re-utilize such data (and Improvements thereof prepared by or on behalf of JDSU) solely to design, develop, manufacture and have manufactured (subject to Section 4.2), Sell, Service, and support JDSU Licensed Products in the JDSU Field.

• Adaptec shall not have any right to institute any action or suit against Third Parties for infringement of any of the Copyrights or Database Rights in or to the Assigned Technology.

• Under the Database Rights included in JDSU Licensed IPR, to extract data from the databases included therein and to re-utilize such data (and Improvements thereof prepared by or on behalf of Lumentum) solely to design, develop, manufacture and have manufactured (subject to Section 3.2), Sell, Service, and support Lumentum Licensed Products in the Lumentum Field.

• Under its and their Database Rights constituting Licensed Verigy IPR, to extract data from the databases included therein and to re-utilize such data (and Improvements thereof prepared by or on behalf of Agilent) solely to design, develop, manufacture and have manufactured (subject to Section 4.2), sell and support Agilent Products in the Agilent Field.

More Definitions of Database Rights

Database Rights has the meaning set forth in the definition of “Intellectual Property Rights” in this Section 1.1.

Database Rights means any statutory rights in databases and data collections.

Database Rights shall be given the same meaning as that contained within s3(A) of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Xxx 0000 and the Database Directive 96/9/EC and the Copyright and Related Rights in Databases Regulations 1997.
