Data Aggregation Services definition

Data Aggregation Services means the combining of PHI or EPHI by Business Associate with the PHI or EPHI received by Business Associate in its capacity as a business associate of another covered entity, to permit data analyses that relate to the health care operations of, payment to, and treatment of patients by the respective covered entities.

Data Aggregation Services means, with respect to PHI created or received by Business Associate in its capacity as a Business Associate of KDHE, the combining of such PHI by the Business Associate with the PHI received by the Business Associate in its capacity as a business associate of another covered entity, to permit data analyses that relate to the health care operations of the respective covered entities, as defined in 45 CFR § 164.501 and as such term may be amended from time to time in this cited regulation.

Data Aggregation Services means the combining of PHI by HeL with the PHI received by HeL in its capacity as a business associate of a HIPAA covered entity, to permit data analyses that relate to health care operations of the respective covered entities.

Examples of Data Aggregation Services in a sentence

• Except as otherwise limited in this Agreement, Business Associate may use PHI to provide Data Aggregation Services to Covered Entity.

• Furthermore, Business Associate shall use PHI (i) solely for Covered Entity’s benefit and only for the purpose of performing services for Covered Entity as such services are defined in Business Arrangements, (ii) for Data Aggregation Services (as hereinafter defined), and (iii) as necessary for the proper management and administration of the Business Associate or to carry out its legal responsibilities, provided that such uses are permitted under federal and state law.

• A Provider so contracted may use PHI to provide Data Aggregation Services to Purchaser and may combine data with its other data to use for research, analytic, and similar purposes, provided that no client or Purchaser is identifiable.

• Furthermore, Business Associate shall use PHI (i) solely for Covered Entity’s benefit and only for the purpose of performing services for Covered Entity as such services are defined in Business Arrangements, (ii) for Data Aggregation Services (as herein defined), and (iii) as necessary for the proper management and administration of the Business Associate or to carry out its legal responsibilities, provided that such uses are permitted under federal and state law.

• Upon the prior written approval of Participant #1, Participant #2 may use Protected Health Information to provide Data Aggregation Services related to Participant #1’s Health Care Operations, as permitted by 45 CFR § 164.504(e)(2)(i)(B).

More Definitions of Data Aggregation Services

Data Aggregation Services means, with respect to PHI created or received by Business Associate in its capacity as a business associate of Covered Entity, the combining of such PHI by Business Associate with PHI received by Business Associate in its capacity as a business associate of another covered entity, to permit data analyses that relate to the Health Care Operations of the respective covered entities.

Data Aggregation Services means, with respect to Protected Health Information created or received by the Business Associate, the combining of such Protected Health Information by the Business Associate with protected health information (as defined in HIPAA) received by the Business Associate in its capacity as a business associate (as defined in HIPAA) of another covered entity (as defined in HIPAA), to permit data analyses that relate to the health care operations of the respective covered entities, including the Covered Entity.

Data Aggregation Services. For purposes of this Section, “Data Aggregation” means, with respect to CCIU’s PHI, the combining of such PHI by Business Associate with the PHI received by Business Associate in its capacity as a Business Associate of another health care provider to permit data analyses that relate to the health care operations of the respective Covered Entities.
