Covered Treatment definition

Covered Treatment means the Services for which the Relevant Member is entitled to be reimbursed under their Member Policy, subject to: (a) the relevant Member Policy being valid and in force at the time the Services are provided; (b) there being no amounts payable to Bupa under the relevant Member’s Policy that are outstanding at the time the Services are provided; and (c) the charges for the Services being within the maximum aggregate amounts that may be claimed by the Relevant Member under the relevant Member Policy;

Examples of Covered Treatment in a sentence

  • The extent of recognition of the Facilities under these networks as set out in Appendix 1 is subject to the services, specialties and complementary procedures being specified in Appendices 2 – 4 to this Schedule, and also subject to any Treatment being Covered Treatment.

  • All other charges for any drugs whatsoever are included in the Charges, and the Provider shall not be entitled to charge the Member for any other drugs in connection with any Covered Treatment.

  • Not Covered: Treatment of infested areas outside the perimeter of the main house foundation, flying insects, ticks, fleas, German Xxxxx infestations, rats and any other pests not listed above.

  • In the event of a failure of a Covered Treatment, Patient must (1) notify Dentist of the failure within a reasonable time after discovery (not to exceed 10 days) and (2) schedule and attend an appointment with Dentist at which Dentist will take or schedule corrective action.

  • Patient's sole recovery for breach of this Limited Warranty or any implied warranty shall be damages in an amount not to exceed Treatment Cost, that is, the amount paid to Dentist for a failed Covered Treatment.

  • What is Not Covered: This Limited Warranty Agreement does not cover: Treatments other than Covered Treatments; Preexisting conditions; Loss of a removable prosthetic or appliance; Cosmetic discoloration; Failure of a Covered Treatment due to: failure of Patient to comply with his or her Patient Responsibilities, medical conditions resulting from substance abuse, treatments not performed by Dentist.

  • Not Covered: Treatment for new lawns, tree and shrub fertilization and lawn pest control.

  • Subject to the terms and conditions stated below, Dentist will repair or replace without charge to Patient any Covered Treatment that fails due to faulty materials or workmanship, provided that Patient has fulfilled his or her Patient Responsibilities as described herein.

  • Covered Treatment: One or more of the Treatments Eligible for Coverage provided to Patient by Dentist on the date(s) indicated below.

  • OPD treatment means the one in which the Insured visits a clinic / hospital or associated facility like a consultation room for diagnosis and treatment based on the advice of a Medical Practitioner. The Insured is not admitted as a day care or in-patient.

  • Opioid treatment program means a detoxification or maintenance treatment program which is required to report patient identifying information to the central registry and which is located in the state.

  • Continuing treatment means ongoing medical treatment or supervision by a health care provider.

  • Day treatment means specialized treatment that is provided to:

  • Inpatient treatment means twenty-four-hour-per-day mental

  • preferential tariff treatment means the rate of customs duties applicable to an originating good of the exporting Party in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 16; and

  • Maltreatment means the neglect, abuse, or financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

  • Medication-assisted treatment or "MAT" means the use of pharmacologic therapy, often in combination with counseling and behav- ioral therapies, for the treatment of substance use disorders.

  • Publicly owned treatment works or “POTW” means any device or system used in the treatment (including recycling and reclamation) of municipal sewage or industrial wastes of a liquid nature which is owned by a “State” or “municipality” (as defined by section 502(4) of the CWA). This definition includes sewers, pipes, or other conveyances only if they convey wastewater to a POTW providing treatment.

  • Medically Necessary Treatment means any treatment, tests, medication, or stay in hospital or part of a stay in hospital which:

  • Secondary treatment means a combination of unit processes that will consistently remove 85% or more of the organic and suspended material in domestic wastewater and produce an effluent of sufficient quality to satisfy the following requirements; monthly average effluent BOD5 and TSS concentrations of 30 mg/L; daily maximum effluent BOD5 and TSS concentrations of 45 mg/L.

  • Medical Treatment means examination and treatment by a Legally Qualified Physician for a condition which first manifested itself, worsened or became acute or had symptoms which would have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment.

  • Pretreatment means the reduction of the amount of pollutants, the elimination of pollutants, or the alteration of the nature of pollutant properties in wastewater prior to or in lieu of discharging or otherwise introducing such pollutants into a POTW.

  • Outpatient treatment means mental health or substance abuse treatment services rendered to a

  • Dental Treatment means a treatment related to teeth or structures supporting teeth including examinations, fillings (where appropriate), crowns, extractions and surgery.

  • Thermal treatment means the treatment of hazardous waste in a device which uses elevated temperatures as the primary means to change the chemical, physical, or biological character or composition of the hazardous waste. Examples of thermal treatment processes are incineration, molten salt, pyrolysis, calcination, wet air oxidation, and microwave discharge. (See also “incinerator” and “open burning”.)

  • Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW means a treatment works as defined by § 212 of the CWA, which is owned by a state or municipality (as defined by § 502(4) of the CWA). This definition includes any devices and systems used in the storage, treatment, recycling, and reclamation of municipal sewage or industrial wastes of a liquid nature. It also includes sewers, pipes, and other conveyances only if they convey wastewater to a POTW treatment plant. The term also means the municipality as defined in § 502(4) of the CWA, which has jurisdiction over the indirect discharges to and the discharges from such a treatment works.

  • Individualized treatment plan means a written and/or electronically recorded statement of care planned for a patient based upon assessment of the patient's developmental, biological, psychological, and social strengths and problems, and including:

  • Hospital treatment means treatment (including provision of goods and services) that is intended to manage a disease, injury or condition and is provided at a hospital or arranged with the direct involvement of a hospital.

  • Substance abuse treatment means outpatient or inpatient services or participation in Alcoholics Anonymous or a similar program.

  • Mistreatment means the inappropriate use of medications, isolation, or use of physical or chemical restraints as punishment, for staff convenience, as a substitute for treatment or care, in conflict with a physician's order, or in quantities which inhibit effective care or treatment, which harms or is likely to harm the patient or resident.

  • Life-sustaining treatment means treatment that, based on reasonable medical judgment, sustains the life of a patient and without which the patient will die. The term includes both life-sustaining medications and artificial life support such as mechanical breathing machines, kidney dialysis treatment, and artificially administered nutrition and hydration. The term does not include the administration of pain management medication, the performance of a medical procedure necessary to provide comfort care, or any other medical care provided to alleviate a patient's pain.

  • Behavioral health treatment means counseling and treatment programs, including applied behavior analysis, that are:

  • Overseas treatment means treatments or appliances provided or sourced from outside of Australia. This includes treatment on cruise ships inside or outside Australian waters.

  • Assisted outpatient treatment or "AOT" means the categories of outpatient services ordered by the court under section 468 or 469a. Assisted outpatient treatment may include a case management plan and case management services to provide care coordination under the supervision of a psychiatrist and developed in accordance with person-centered planning under section 712. Assisted outpatient treatment may also include 1 or more of the following categories of services: medication; periodic blood tests or urinalysis to determine compliance with prescribed medications; individual or group therapy; day or partial day programming activities; vocational, educational, or self-help training or activities; assertive community treatment team services; alcohol or substance use disorder treatment and counseling and periodic tests for the presence of alcohol or illegal drugs for an individual with a history of alcohol abuse or substance use disorder; supervision of living arrangements; and any other services within a local or unified services plan developed under this act that are prescribed to treat the individual's mental illness and to assist the individual in living and functioning in the community or to attempt to prevent a relapse or deterioration that may reasonably be predicted to result in suicide, the need for hospitalization, or serious violent behavior. The medical review and direction included in an assisted outpatient treatment plan shall be provided under the supervision of a psychiatrist.

  • Mechanical Treatment means the use of power saws, axes, or other approved tools to remove trees.
