Contiguous areas definition

Contiguous areas means all the areas within a state or a group of two or more states sharing common bor- ders. ‘‘Sharing common borders’’ does not mean meeting at a single point. Colorado, for example, is contiguous with New Mexico, but not with Ari- zona.
