Contaminated Soils definition

Contaminated Soils means soils removed during the cleanup of a remedial action site, or a dangerous waste site closure or other cleanup efforts and actions which contain harmful substances but are not designated dangerous wastes. Contaminated soils may include excavated soils surrounding underground storage tanks, vactor wastes (street and sewer cleanings), and soil excavated from property underlying industrial activities.
Contaminated Soils means soils, sediments or materials containing substances in quantities or concentrations equal to or greater than those specified in Schedule 10, Column III of the Contaminated Sites Regulation, B.C. Reg. 375/96, but does not include Hazardous Waste;
Contaminated Soils means soils removed during the cleanup of a hazardous waste site, or a dangerous waste facility closure, corrective actions or other clean-up activities and which contain harmful substances but are not designated dangerous wastes.

Contaminated Soils means soils, for reasons of public health and safety or environmental quality, are unsafe for use as a result of human activities, particularly those activities that have left a chemical or radioactive residue.
